Meditation, Sharing Knowledge from the Masters
3. September 2010 by admin.
“For a spiritual master, nothing is more important than passing on the light of Initiatic Science to his disciples, for he knows that when they possess this light they will be able to face any difficulty without even needing him to be there. For humans to be helped, they must be given a spiritual element, which becomes engraved within them for all time, an element that nothing can erase.
There are numerous ways of helping others that are certainly very useful. You can give them money, food, medicines, training for a job; you can console them, encourage them… But anyone who wishes to give the most important thing of all must learn to give the light of initiatic knowledge. “

Daily Meditations
28. August 2010 by admin.
“So much of the suffering that humans complain of comes from the fact that they would like to take over what belongs to others:
objects, land, men, women, situations, and so on. And, of course, they take it out on other people they see as standing in the way of their greed and ambitions. They will never be able to free themselves from their suffering, if they do not come to understand that they themselves are the cause of it.
All humans will know this kind of suffering until they also understand that there is nothing they own or wish to own that can bring them real happiness. People suffer because they feel poor, or weak, or ill, or ignorant, or ugly or alone, but possessing wealth, power, health, knowledge or beauty and being surrounded by people has never stopped anyone from suffering. We can often be surprised, even, to discover what inner torments some men and women struggle with, when it seems they have everything they need to be happy. Yes, they have everything except what is essential:
the need to live a spiritual life, which alone can bring true happiness.”

A typical visit to an atypical place
21. May 2010 by admin.
When you come to visit me whether it be for counseling, tarot, Reiki or to set up a ceremony, many things take place. First, I warmly greet my clients at the door as my office is on the second floor of my home. I have been told that they feel instantly at peace when I bring them in and my home makes them feel safe and secure. We go up to the healing room. Stepping within it is like a space out of time, it is smudged between each client so that no remains of one meets up with another. Clients can see some of my artwork for sale on the walls, there are candles available for sale, but not too much clutter. They start out sitting on the comfortable futon if they’re here for something other than tarot. For tarot, the table is already set. Tea or Crystal infused water may be offered.
I get to know the clients first. I introduce myself and tell them a little bit about me so that any discomfort or shyness can be easily overcome. Then it’s their turn to share with me what they’d like to, and why they’ve come to see me. There may be paper work for them to fill out (unless it is mailed previously) and we go over what the service they’ve asked for entails. I answer any questions and then we get to the task at hand.
If it’s a Reiki appointment, they’re asked to lay (face down or up) on my comfortable Reiki table. Adjustments are made to the headrest, blankets and slippers are provided for those that get cold. Clothes always stay on. Pillows are available if they need their heads up further than the supportive headrest provides. They usually close their eyes and many fall asleep. I smudge with sage (or if other scents are requested or none at all for sensitive people) the person’s aura (energy field) and then state my intention for healing, serenity, peace and begin work, starting at the head. The only touching I do is to first make contact with the head. I always ask permission first, and if they prefer not to have their head touched, I keep my hands, palm down a few inches from their body. Some people are comfortable enough and allow me to touch their foreheads, ears, and place my hands over their eyes. I never touch inappropriately as that is not the way of Reiki. It is not touch massage. It is sending and receiving energy, the hands being like conduits to the body.
What does one feel? Most people have mentioned waves in certain areas, or the moving of heat from one place to another. This is the energy doing its work, moving out blockages in the client’s energy systems (chakras). The session usually runs about an hour total. I have had clients ask for longer double sessions or a combination of counseling and follow up with Reiki services.
For shamanic services, the client will again lay upon the table as comfortable as possible. He or she will close their eyes and I will use my rattle to wake their aura for dream state. I then start a drumming cd or drum myself to put them in a state of complete comfort and relaxation. I then lie upon the futon and go into the various worlds to do what must be done. Upon re-entering this realm, I may bring back with me shards (please see shamanic information on my website) and place them back into the person who is lying there. Tranference can sometimes be felt. I’ve been told by clients they feel a spark or more full. I usually follow up with any visions I’ve seen and further instructions for the person.
Why would one get a shamanic journey done? Sometimes we feel incomplete. We may feel a sadness that is apparently inexplicable. A shamanistic practitioner does not see “disease” as medical, but as spiritual.
At no time are my clients given any hypnotic or hallucinogenics. At no time are my clients put under “hypnosis” or told to perform in anyway.
These services can last from usually an hour to 2 hours depending on the need. Payment is per visit, not per hour.
Hope this helps you understand a little bit of what I do. Book early, the summer is coming fast!
